What belongs in an employee welcome kit?
The best welcome kit makes the first working day easier. A compact set of useful items, with a personal welcome, often makes a stronger impression than a large box of unrelated merchandise.

Start with the first working week
List the things a new colleague will actually do: attend orientation, take notes, meet people and set up a desk. A notebook and pen are a sensible starting point when those activities involve writing. A lanyard is useful only if the workplace uses one. Remote colleagues may find a note pad or coaster more practical than an office-only accessory.
Specify the contents precisely
Notebook size, page format and binding change how a kit feels in daily use. Confirm the pen style, ink colour and whether a pen shown in a photograph is included. If you want several products packed together, ask about dimensions and protection during transport. A proposed combination is not a confirmed kit until its contents and packaging are agreed.
Give the brand some breathing room
Choose one clear logo placement and keep small surfaces readable. A welcome message on a card can carry the warmer, personal part of the communication. Before approving artwork, look at its actual printed size rather than a zoomed-in screen image. Keep an editable record of approved artwork for subsequent batches.
Plan for future joiners
One large joining date and monthly onboarding need different fulfilment arrangements. Share the expected batch sizes, office locations and storage plan before requesting a quote. Confirm which quantities can be supplied together, whether later orders will use the same specification, and how address changes are handled. Send only the recipient information needed for the agreed delivery process.
